Biodiversity is in catastrophic decline in the UK.
We’re here to support the government's commitment to halt species decline by 2030, and give back to the whole ecosystem, from our farmers to our urban communities.
Since 1970 UK species have declined by about 19% on average, and nearly 1 in 6 species (16.1%) are now threatened with extinction.This is a stark reminder that the nature crisis isn't restricted to far-off places like the Amazon or the Great Barrier Reef.
Our mission is to create a system which not only allows developments to offset their biodiversity needs, but maximises this opportunity for our farming and urban communities. We support farmers and landowners by providing better financial stability, whilst investing to improve urban biodiversity and educating our next generation in the importance of protecting our nature and how the choices we make can go towards a more sustainable future.
About me.
With my routes firmly in the farming world, but with over 20 years experience in the construction industry, learning about the Japanese word ikigia, sparked the start of The Net Gain Network’s journey.

We’re passionate about the benefits of the countryside, and have a mission to reverse the biodiversity decline in the UK whilst promoting the criticality of our countryside to all.
